These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of gurus-consulting.com and the Gurus Resume Builder application (together, the “Services”), operated by 2179503 Ontario Ltd., operating as Gurus Consulting. By using the Services you agree to these Terms.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity under it. You must be at least 16 years old. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Services.
The Resume Builder offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (Pro and Premium) billed monthly through Stripe. Paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial: a valid payment method is required to start the trial, and the first charge occurs automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before that time. You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or trial), and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or under the 60-Day Interview Guarantee below. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice.
If you subscribe to a paid plan (Pro or Premium), rebuild your resume in the Resume Builder, and track 20 or more job applications in your job search board within 60 days of your first payment, and you are not getting more interviews than you were before, we will refund your subscription fees.
To claim, email support@gurus-consulting.com within 14 days of that 60-day period ending. There is no form to complete. We confirm the 20 tracked applications from your own job search board, so there is nothing for you to send us and nothing to prove.
The refund covers subscription fees you paid from your first payment up to the date you claim, issued in US dollars to your original payment method through Stripe. One claim per customer. Accounts that did not build a resume in the tool, or that recorded fewer than 20 applications, do not qualify, because the guarantee is a promise about the tool being used rather than about it being purchased.
This is a refund policy, not a guarantee of employment. No resume tool can guarantee interviews or job offers, and nothing in this section should be read as promising either. What is guaranteed is your money back on the terms above.
You retain all rights to the resumes and other content you create or upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the Services (for example, scoring your resume, generating exports, or producing AI rewrites you request). You are responsible for the accuracy of your resume content.
AI rewriting features produce suggestions based on the text you provide. You are responsible for reviewing suggestions before use and for ensuring your resume is truthful. We do not guarantee interview invitations, job offers, or any particular outcome from using the Services, including Resume Readiness Scores, which are estimates based on common applicant-tracking criteria.
You agree not to misuse the Services — including attempting to breach security, scrape or resell the Services, circumvent plan limits, upload malicious files, or use the Services to create false or misleading credentials.
Program/project management consulting and career coaching engagements are governed by their individual agreements or statements of work; these Terms apply to your use of the websites and applications.
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability arising out of the Services is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
